data-end=\"676\">I grew up in a world that didn\u2019t feel safe.<br data-start=\"565\" data-end=\"568\" \/>With a schizophrenic mother and a father who was emotionally and physically absent, I had to grow up fast.<\/p><p data-start=\"678\" data-end=\"737\">There was chaos.<br data-start=\"694\" data-end=\"697\" \/>There was silence.<br data-start=\"715\" data-end=\"718\" \/>There was survival.<\/p><p data-start=\"739\" data-end=\"1041\">As a child, I learned to be quiet.<br data-start=\"773\" data-end=\"776\" \/>To shrink myself.<br data-start=\"793\" data-end=\"796\" \/>To meet everyone else\u2019s needs before even recognizing my own.<br data-start=\"857\" data-end=\"860\" \/>And somewhere along the way, I lost myself.<br data-start=\"903\" data-end=\"906\" \/>I lost my Layers of fear.
